New "Firefly" Soundtrack Out Now

My new album is officially out in the universe and I couldn't be more thrilled to share it with everyone. This album is all me from head to toe and I poured my heart and soul into it. I wrote all of the music, performed all of the instruments, and recorded and engineered the album. Spending endless days playing my Deering 5-string banjo, vintage 1930's Gibson tenor banjo (thanks Norm Astwood), Martin acoustic guitar, Gold Tone Paul E. Beard square neck Dobro, and mandolin was a dream come true. (That instrument list is for all my music nerd pals.) The entire process was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my life.

"Music to Smuggle By" is the soundtrack to the video game based on the TV series "Firefly". With the current status of the game best being described as "adrift", I didn't want to just sit on all of this music that I created for the "Firefly" universe. I wanted to release it for the fans, especially since I consider myself one of the most diehard "Firefly" fans out there. The TV series was amazing, but also amazingly short-lived. The fans have been disappointed over the lack of new "Firefly" material over the years and I wanted to make sure that they got something tangible out of the game. Something new.

I sincerely hope that you get as much enjoyment out of listening to the album as I had making it.

Thanks.

Keep flying everyone.
